Established in 2017, the Winnipeg Trans March was “meant to raise awareness and highlight the struggles Transgender people experience.”[i]

2017 | Manitoba Legislature and Broadway to Forks Festival Grounds | The first Trans March began with a rally at Manitoba Legislature, followed by a “march down Broadway to the Forks Festival grounds, where we will showcase several local Trans musicians on the mainstage!”[ii] |
2018 | Manitoba Legislature and Broadway to Forks Festival Grounds | A rally at Manitoba legislature followed by a march to the Forks Festival grounds, where a concert was held.[iii] |
2019 | Manitoba Legislature and Broadway to Forks Festival Grounds | Third annual march attracted “hundreds of trans people and allies” “calling for an end to the many barriers, and stigma, transgender people still face”.[iv] |
