In 2019, The Pas Family Resource Centre Inc hosted the first Pride Walk in The Pas, Manitoba. After a temporary pause in 2020 and 2021, in 2022 the Tri-Community Pride Committee was formed in partnership with The Pas Community Renewal Corporation (TPCRC)[i]. Representing the three communities of The Pas, the Regional Municipality of Kelsey, and the Opasawayak Cree Nation, Tri-Community Pride has been growing year over year. The Committee is chaired by Derrick / Nadia Sanderson and is made up of five members comprising of the Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and a committee member representing TPCRC.
Pride Parade
The Pas’ first Pride Walk took place on August 19th, 2019. The walk began at the Rainbow Cross Walk out front of the Roy H Johnston Arena at 6 pm and ended at 145 La Rose Avenue. The event concluded with a community barbeque and a short presentation on the LGBTQ2S community[ii]. The event was hosted by The Pas Family Resource Centre Inc, in support of members of The Young Wolf Pack and the X-Roads Tenn Centre[iii].

Festival Site
The Tri-Community Pride Festival takes place in The Pas and has ended either at the Gordon Lathlin Memorial Centre (GMLC) or behind the Roy H Johnson Arena.
