Established in 2017, the Two-Spirit Pow-Wow was established by Sunshine House in partnership with Two Spirited People Manitoba Inc. Crowdfunding raised over $10,000[i] to cover the costs of a traditional feast and honorariums[ii] and the free event was held at The Forks National Historical Site in Winnipeg. During COVID-19, the event was not held, but Two Spirited People Manitoba Inc. provided information about virtual events being put on by other communities.
